Those things don’t just magically happen — no matter how many times you yell “You can do it!” from the stands or throw the ball in the backyard. Without an expert to coach, teach and train them, they will miss certain opportunities. You’ll never know what could have been...
To be their best on and off the field, they need both support and challenge. They need to work on their physical game and their mental game. That’s the difference you get with SCORE. We’re working with the whole athlete to achieve their goal.

Anthony's confidence has doubled since he has been training with Coach K because of the improvement. I have been enjoying the process because I also get to learn things I didn't know before. Whatever technique or system Coach K is using works great and he should keep doing it!

My kid already has a sports trainer. Isn’t that enough? Most sports trainers work with athletes in one, maybe two, facets of training. At SCORE we train the mind and body using a 6-step method. We can tell you all about it during your free assessment.
My kid practices and plays with a select/AAU/school team already. Why do they need more coaching? They may or may not need more coaching, but they almost certainly need more training and teaching. I know that sounds like a clever answer, but it’s true. Most coaches focus just on the physical aspects of their specific game. We also focus on the psychological aspect of your kid. Winning is more than skills, drills and time on the court. It’s about mindset and character.
Are you saying that school coaches aren’t getting the job done? Team coaches are responsible for the entire team, not your kid. Let’s use an academic example: Your kid’s teacher focuses on an entire classroom. If you want to see your child advance or catch up academically or in a specific subject, you would hire a tutor. Sports teams are the same. For your kid to maximize their potential, you need a sports enhancement trainer.
What’s wrong with me coaching my own kid? Parents often try to coach their kids, and kids often struggle. When kids start accepting their parents’ coaching I’ll be happy to go out of business. But I don’t see that happening any time soon. Here’s why: Mom or Dad as coach is hard for kids to process emotionally. Any mistake or coaching feels like criticism and confirmation of not being good enough. That “not good enough” feeling hurts when it comes from a parent. Protect your parent/child relationship by letting us push and coach them.
Isn’t sports training really expensive? It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. There are several “stick your toe in the water” options that are light on your pocketbook. (You know what is expensive? Regret.)
How are we supposed to fit this into our schedule? My kid is already involved in a lot of activities. Man, I hear you. Kids are busy. And dragging them from one thing to the next isn’t always healthy (or fun for parents). We offer different options for different schedules. Maybe you can commit to a week of camp every quarter. We promise we’ll maximize that week. Or, maybe you can do a one-a-week group training. Maybe it’s a few one-on-one sessions where we meet at a time and location that’s more convenient for your lifestyle. If your kid is serious about sports, we’ll make it work.
My kid has never played fill-in-the-blank-sport before. Is this a good program for them? Absolutely. Instead of throwing your kid in a sports program to “sink or swim” and risk emotional and physical damage, you will want to be sure they start and progressively grow based on their skills and temperament.
Don’t tell them I said this, but my kid doesn't even know how to run correctly / is afraid of the ball / is uncoordinated / lacks confidence. Can you help? Yes, we can help even the non-sporty kid. Understanding how our bodies move can be hard for some kids. Our Performance Training is a great place for kids like this. We teach them how to connect their minds and bodies so they can move with confidence. We train them on basic movements and mechanics. We won’t shame your child or embarrass them for their abilities. If they’re really hesitant, you could start with a few private lessons. Schedule a Free Assessment and we can come up with a plan that fits your kid.
